The critical role of ‘collaboration’ was highlighted in the Edge report Collaboration for Change (2015 and 2020)

The legal requirement to achieve net zero carbon by 2050 (and the science tells us that we actually need to do this well before), should focus the minds of all working in the built and natural environment where construction can have an influence. It is understood that construction is complex and multi-disciplinary, but this means that there is an essential need for collaboration in all areas of work – integration of information, innovation and process during the briefing, planning, designing, manufacturing, constructing, operating and maintaining a construction projects.

  • How should we define a successful outcome of collaboration?

  • Project performance is one, project costs and delivering on time is another.

  • How do we ensure that all the players – policy makers, professions, developers and investors - are working together for this common goal?

  • We may understand why we should ‘collaborate’, but do we know how to do so effectively?

This webinar will explore the issues and invites the audience to partake with questions and comments.
